I would like to advocate for a defined scratchpad button located below the ´flight details´ tab maybe about that width - a simple S for Scratchpad & R for Radio (depending on language). This wouldn´t obstruct necessary information, because there isn´t neither in portrait nor in landscape mode. Alternative one could shrink the ´flight details´tab to ´flight` or ´details`only & use the spare space. Reason why? - the swiping action simply isn´t a reliable way to activate, sometime it works & sometime it won´t - even in bumpy conditions.
